Which Caesarstone Colours are Zero Silica?

With Engineered stone being banned In Australia come middle of 2024, Caesarstone has now branched into a zero silica range with 12 colours available by Mid 2024. These all have varying available dates, but it seems most of the white colours will be ready for the cut off to zero Crystalline silica

The big difference

All colours have been lightened, The yellow/grey/ tinge in a lot of the colours is a more vivid white

Beyond the ligther colour difference, all these colours will come in the larger Grande slab size 3240 x 1640 which is important to get those larger island and benchtop cuts out of the same slab

If you’re thinking “Wow, these still look like Engineered stone” you’re not going crazy either. The engineered stone ban is focused on Resin/Crystalline silica Based benchtop materials as there is evidence that the combination is more harmful to manufacturing staff when full PPE isn’t followed (There is 2 great studies from University of Adelaide and University of Tasmania. if you would like to read some excerpts)

Other Benchtops materials the market is going towards are

Sintering - Using high temps and pressure to bond minerals (Glass or metal minerals) together

Porcelain - Extremely similiar to Sintering, but different minerals used

Caesarstone/other companies are now using both these methods to make benchtops for the Australia market as well as this new zero silica range available
