The Question to ask your Sales consultant

Something that has been bugging me for a long time is how lesser made products can still use the same feature words like Pyrolytic cleaning, telescopic rails or for this post Soft open/Soft closing oven doors. With so little comparison information between the brands on their fundamental build quality we end up in a situation where we head into a store to feel and touch and eventually putting some trust into a sales consultant

when you go into a retailer and they start talking about these features, it’s either by accident or mal-intent they only show you them on certain brands because they perform as they should. As you will be using the product and not them, we need to be double checking the sales consultant the whole process that their opinion is correct and valuable

So, how do we do this?

The best back to back question I would rarely get “Does this perform the same as the other?”and then with whatever the sales consultants answer is, follow it up with “What is the difference?”

OR

as I’m a far more blunt person “This vs that, what’s the actual difference?”

This is how you can tell you are being assisted by someone who knows what they are doing and can help you compare the products as you want to. You’ve come into the store to make your decision which you need more information, at any point you don’t think you’re in the right hands means you need to get someone else to help you. If you don’t think the person can help you now, do you think they are going to help if you have issues with delivery or warranty later? Doubtful.

How do I get a great sales consultant ?

There is a few ways to speed up the process if you hate shopping just like I do.

You should

-Call multiple stores with some questions you want answered. When you find someone who is helpful and can answer them, pop down to see them (This is by far the best way)

-Speak to your friends and family (Which you probably have) Great if you pick up a contact, but doesn’t always work

-Check review websites for company you are looking at and if there is a name recently, better odds they are helpful!

-Shoot me an email seanb@rosemountkitchens.com.au If there is someone I can recommend for the product or information you’re after. I’ll absolutely share it with you
